The only problem is the batteries wore out in only one day. This is a great way for my husband to have access to his xm while fixing up around the house. It works perfectly.
It looks good. It gets really loud, or really quiet.
It's worth that. A good way to annoy people in your home or office.Right now, Amazon is selling it for $35.
I think this sounds ok. If you want to move it around a lot, it's probably not a good buy for you, since it's not very sturdy.The volume control on mine has never really worked.
You may be better off just buying an adapter and hooking your XM receiver up to your normal stereo though. It sounds like something you'd get for $100, so it's not bad, but definitely not for audiophiles.
If you're going to keep it in one place, it will stay looking good.
Nothing has broken and the speakers really sound awesome for this size. I've had this over a year now and take receiver out of it every day at work.
BUT I WOULD BUY THIS AGAIN GOT A GREAT PRICE FOR THIS RADIO. IT HAS A GOOD SOUND QUALITY AND UNFORTUNATELY IT IS THE ONLY ONE FOR THE XM DELPHI SKY2 RADIO.
As far as the humming some say they have experienced, I have not had that issue either. They like the variety of music offered through this service as well as the MLB games selection. Equally, the volume output seems more than sufficient when we are out at the lake with friends for an evening of rest and relaxation.
Whether painting outside or taking it to the lake the boombox has performed very well. I am not sure if the brand of battery can make the difference but I have been running the Duracell Brand and it seems to work just fine. I purchased this unit for my SkiFi2 receiver about 2 months ago and have found this to be a great additon for this unit.
I like the adjustments for bass and treble control when this unit is docked into the boombox. I am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend this to anyone interested in expanding the use of their XM SKIFI unit beyond automotive use. So far I am still on my initial set of batteries and have about 8-9 hours of runtime on them.
Others have written that they are only experiencing about 3-4 hours of battery time.
